A quick candy-cookie that comes together in just a few minutes.
Servings: 30cookies
Ingredients
½cupbutterlightly salted
½cupmilk
1cupgranulated white sugar
½tspsalt
1tsppure vanilla extract
1bagKraft caramel baking bits11 oz
3cupsquick-cooking oats
1cupflaked coconut
Instructions
In a heavy saucepan, melt butter and sugar together.
When melted, add sugar and salt, and stir to dissolve over medium heat.
Bring mixture to a rolling boil. Once the mixture is at a rolling boil, set a timer for 90 seconds, boiling without stirring.
Remove from heat. Add vanilla and caramels and stir until they are melted, about 4 minutes. You may have to put the pan over very low heat to get them fully melted.
Stir in oats and coconut.
Drop by heaping spoonfuls on wax paper. Allow to cool and set overnight.
